Located in the rolling hills of central Ohio, our barn is tucked away from the hustle and bustle. We strive to keep our barn a positive environment that is welcoming to everyone.
Meet Our Team
Lizzy Baughman
Lizzy Baughman is our owner and head trainer. She grew up in Logan County on a large horse camp for kids. She learned how to ride at a very young age, and enjoyed showing in 4-H and other local shows. The foundation of her riding and teaching was based on the Certified Horsemans Association, and she was able to use that as a building block for her equine education.
After working some local jobs, she decided to do some traveling. She spent a season in Colorado working on a dude ranch. Her love for the West took her to Wyoming for the following two seasons to work on a guest ranch that also doubled as a working cattle ranch. She also spent time in Denmark training horses. While in Demark, she had the chance to be the assistant coach for the Danish Equestrian Youth team. She traveled with the team to Australia for the AQHA Youth World Cup in 2016 and in 2018 met them in Texas to coach the team again for the World Cup.
Lizzy moved back to Logan County in 2016 and started up E-Wiley Horsemanship. Since then she has gotten married and had two daughters and a son. In the summer of 2020, they purchased a large farm outside DeGraff. Lizzy's unique experiences and world travel helped develop her view on horsemanship and her approach to teaching. She is a fun instructor for any age rider and is great at meeting you at the level you are and helping you improve your horsemanship skills.
Daniel Baughman
Daniel is the man that keeps the place running.
Daniel grew up in DeGraff and has always been the cattle guy. He does everything from farming row crops, hay making, raising cattle, taking care of the horses, and everything else it takes to keep a large farm running.
Daniel and Lizzy Baughman have three kids, Annabelle, Josie, and Clayton. The kids are a big part of our barn and help create the family dynamic we have among our clients. The girls love riding and helping out around the barn, while Clayton loves dirt and tractors. The kids specialize in desensitizing the horses and prepping our horses for all the unknown factors you see at shows.
The Baughmans
Renee Workman
Renee Workman is one of our instructors. With over 40 years of experience with horses and their care, she believes that you can never stop learning. She has had the pleasure of working for several farm/boarding stables over the years assisting with anything from breeding, basic horse care, farm maintenance to teaching people of any age how to ride.
Her goal is to teach beginners the basics of horsemanship by breaking down instruction for each individual in a way they understand, so they can become a safe and confident rider.
